EMERGENCY PROCEDURE

In the event of an emergency at our campground,

its important to follow these steps to ensure the safety of everyone.

Stay Calm

Stay away from water, metal objects, all electrical devices, vehicles and other substances that will conduct electricity. Always be prepared by packing emergency supplies, knowing emergency contact numbers, and being aware of the campgrounds layout.

Assess the Situation

Identify the type of emergency (medical, fire, wildlife encounter, severe weather) ensure your immediate surroundings are safe before acting.

Call for Help

Dial 911 for all emergencies requiring police, fire, or ambulance assistance. Provide clear information about your location (4504-49Ast) and inform campground hosts if they are present.

Fire Emergency

Evacuate the area immediately. Do not attempt to put out large fires. Follow the campground evacuation routes and head to a safe area (Muster Point) If there is a wildfire nearby, listen to local authorities for evacuation orders and prepare to leave promptly. Have an emergency kit ready with essentials (water, first aid, flashlight, etc.)

Wildife Encounter

Do not approach or feed wildlife or cows. If a bear or another large animal is nearby, back away slowly without running. Make noise to alert animals of your presence. If the animal becomes aggressive, follow proper wildlife safety protocols (bear spray)

Medical Emergency

Provide first aid if trained to do so. Keep the injured person calm and wait for emergency services.

Severe Weather

If a thunderstorm or extreme weather is approaching, seek shelter in a sturdy building, avoid open areas, tall trees or water sources. Stay informed about weather conditions via local radio or weather apps.

Know the campgrounds emergency plan

Familiarize yourself with our specific emergency procedures when you arrive such as exits, meeting points and emergency contact numbers. Locate emergency equipment such as fire extinguishers, first aid kits, etc.
